It was like Christmas in April when I visited the grocery store last week and found that Hostess had re-released the Suzy Q.
I felt like an explorer who had just discovered plutonium by accident.
Naturally, I felt like it was my civic duty to eat an entire box so I could give you, my loyal foodies, a full and comprehensive report.

The first thought I had upon opening the crinkly plastic wrap was,
“wait a minute…
I dunno who this chick is but it ain’t Suzy Q.”
Is it delicious?
Yes.
Does it taste exactly the same as the original?
As far as I can recall, yes.
Is it BLATANT false advertising to market this as the re-release of the original?
UM, YES.
Might I suggest a less deceitful more appropriate name like, “Lil Suzy Q” or “Suzy Q Mini.”
Don’t be mad at me, Hostess. I’m not saying they aren’t awesome.
I’m just a person that when I see someone trying to pull something, I’ll call em out on it.
You can’t just slap the words “SUZY Q- SHE’S BACK” on a box with pretty colors and then expect a scientist such as myself not to do the research to prove that claim.
What did you think I wouldn’t notice?
All I’m saying is sometimes more is a good thing and more is always a good thing when it involves chocolate.
So, thank you, Hostess Snack Cakes, for the valiant effort, but…
